The COUNSELING & FAMILY SERVICES YOUTH OUTREACH PROGRAM has recently moved. We are now located at Forrest Hill United Methodist Church, 706 E. Forrest Hill Ave. Ron Tyler, Director, can be reached at 682-4621.

Counseling & Family Services has recently been the recipient of a $2,000 grant from the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF CENTRAL ILLINOIS. This grant enabled the Agency to purchase a commercial refrigerator and freezer from UFS. UFS donated the delivery and set up of these items. KOERNER ELECTRIC donated the electrical work. Counseling & Family Services has been providing food donated by THE MIDWEST FOOD BANK. The Agency also received their certification from the Peoria Public Health Department. In the month of May 100 clients were served.

OLD CHICAGO PIZZA recently donated $1,991 to Counseling & Family Services. Old Chicago held their 2nd Annual Mini-Golf Tour with the proceeds going to our Single Expectant Parent Program and Multi- Services to Single Parents Program. Thanks to all the volunteers that helped make this event possible.

Counseling & Family Services has been approved for a grant in the amount of $2,901.50 from the COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF CENTRAL ILLINOIS. This grant titled, Empowering Children Through Art will be used to provide prevention education booklets for parents and therapeutic artistic tools to help sexually abused children. Many young children lack the words to adequately express themselves and these tools will enable them to express their feeling and emotions.
